Paving

I checked them all, but couldn't find two the same. I lost count of how many there were in total, but each one had its own particular shape and tone, lending a pleasing variety to the gravel in our drive (while at the same time seamlessly blending with the numerous tonnes I've spread there in the past). The "crunch" has a particularly satisfying tone to it underfoot, like chomping into a well-baked water biscuit. I should mention my previous orders were equally successful, and all the gravels supplied by Mone have shown themselves to be hard-wearing, with very little evidence of physical damage despite having (insane though it sounds) cars driven back and forth across them on a regular basis!

I ordered 4 bulk bags of this and the texture of it is great but while putting it down I noticed a lot of roots in it. It's for a new lawn and the last thing I need is for it to be contaminated with weeds before the grass has even been laid. I've postponed turfing it to see what happens and, lo and behold, there's loads of spiky weeds growing out of it! I've been forking them out as much as I can for weeks, but it gets to the point where you just have to deal with it and move on. I'm not happy about it though.
